Leading the Future:
"I want to succeed in STEM so I can mentor and expand opportunities for other underrepresented
groups. I believe diversity contributes to progressive innovation, so it's important
to embrace equity by actively supporting people who are often overlooked."
Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:
"Initially, I wanted to be a Simons STEM Scholar for the financial support and research
opportunities but I found something even more meaningful in the community, values,
and mission of the program."
What would you say to someone who is applying?:
"I would encourage students to apply because as a Simon STEM Scholar, we are always
in an environment filled with supportive peers and mentors that push us to reach our
full potential. You'll learn so much academically and personally."
